The Apple iPhone Just Keeps Getting Better
On June 29, 2007, the first Apple iPhone was launched. At the time, the iPhone was state of the art, top of the line technology that everyone was vying for. Features included a 3.5-inch display, 4GB of storage, and no front camera. Since then, the features have evolved light years, but one thing that has not changed is the fact that the iPhone is still state of the art, top of the line technology.
This past week, Apple held their Annual Showcase. The showcase takes place every September as an opportunity for Apple to launch their new and improved products. Much like WWDC, Apple Showcase is a much-anticipated event for technology enthusiasts from all over the world.
The biggest news coming out of the 2018 Apple Annual Showcase is the launch of the newest iPhone models, the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and the iPhone XR. These two Apple iPhone models boast new and improved features such as bigger screens, higher resolution displays, and are water resistant. Among each of the new models, features such as screen size, water resistance abilities, and storage size vary creating a variety of iPhones everyone can love.
Like all other iPhone releases, the release of these new iPhone models at the end of October is highly anticipated and demanded by the public. So much so in fact that some stores have already sold out of their pre-order quantities.
Along with the release of the new iPhone models, the Apple Annual Showcase also announced the release of the Apple Watch Series 4. The Apple Watch Series 4 is new, improved, and ready to wow all the Apple-loving crowds. Some of its features include a more accurate activity tracker, a better display, new styles, and most importantly the ability to function away from one’s cellular device. The ability to function away from the cell phone is the most anticipated new feature.
Unlike the new iPhones, the Apple Watch Series 4 will be available for purchase on September 21, 2018. The price of the new watch ranges from $399-$749. Each price point offers different features such as the amount of storage.
One note that most people are making regarding this year’s Apple Annual Showcase is that the products, although better than ever, are more expensive than ever as well. Although the technology is improving, it is questioned whether or not the price will limit the availability of the products for average users.
Despite the worries regarding price, presales of the newly released products have not shown any slowdown. However, only time will tell how these products will perform.
What are your thoughts regarding the release of these new products? Will you be lining up to purchase them?
