Get Ready for Amazon re:Invent
Recently, we’ve talked about all of the amazing products that are being launched/have recently been launched by Apple at WWDC. But, did you know that Amazon also has a conference that will blow your technology-loving mind? Well, it does.
What is re: Invent?
In November 2018, Amazon will host its 7th Annual re:Invent conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. Much like WWDC, re:Invent is an opportunity for some of the greatest minds to come together to discuss current and future technology. And, of course, re:Invent is also an opportunity for Amazon to launch new technology/app upgrades as well as new products. This year re:Invent will be the host to hundreds of hackathons, boot camps, building sessions, general information sessions, and so much more. This time will offer technology developers and experts from all over the world time to put their brilliant brains to work and come up with new apps, fixes to old problems, and solutions to technology related problems they predict in the future.
Who Attends re: Invent?
According to AWS, over 40,000 people are expected to descend upon Las Vegas for this five-day event. So, if you are interested in attending it is best to get a head start on your plans, book your flight, secure your registration, and make hotel or Airbnb reservations as soon as possible.
Of course, if you ARE lucky enough to be one of the many in attendance you will be privy to information that the rest of the world is dying to know...like what types of products and services Amazon will be launching in the near future. At the 2017 conference last year, some of the biggest announcements made were Amazon’s Alexa for Business, Amazon Sumerian (AR & VR), and Amazon MQ.
What’s coming up at re: Invent 2018
If you are wondering what’s in store this year at re: Invent, chances are you are going to have to wait to find out. Very little information has been released regarding the upcoming event. And, unlike WWDC some of the biggest announcements are kept tightly under wraps until the big moment of reveal arrives.
One of the coolest aspects of the re:Invent conference (we think) is the series of webinars leading up to it. So, whether you are going to be attending the conference for the first time, or attending it as a long-time re: Invent warrior you will be given the opportunity to prepare. The webinars cover opportunities you will have at the conference as well as tips and tricks to help pack everything into such a short period of time.
Tell us about your re:Invent Experience!
